Cloud Computing and Virtualisation with VM Ware

Saving money, time and the planet by virtualising physical servers. Consolidates workloads ontofewer servers when the cluster needs fewer resources. Places unneeded servers instand by mode. Brings servers back online as workload needs increase. Minimises power consumption while guaranteeing service levels. No disruption or downtime to virtual machines

Organisations are turning to cloud computing to improve IT efficiency and business agility. With cloud computing, you can enable more flexible service delivery and automate core IT processes, including both user and application provisioning and systems management. JSR Technology’s virtualisation solutions accelerate an organisation’s transition to the cloud, by abstracting complexity and creating an elastic pool of compute, storage and networking resources.

By virtualising all assets in the IT infrastructure, you can create a private cloud that leverages the world’s most trusted virtualisation platform, VMware vSphere. While cloud computing provides the approach, VMware delivers a pragmatic path and customer-proven solutions that allow organizations to preserve existing technology investments, while achieving the goal of enabling IT as a Service.

Cloud Computing

Cloud computing is a general term for anything that involves delivering hosted services over the Internet. These services are broadly divided into three categories: Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS). The name cloud computing was inspired by the cloud symbol that’s often used to represent the Internet in flow charts and diagrams.

Virtualisation

Virtualisation is the creation of a virtual (rather than actual) version of something, such as an operating system, a server, a storage device or network resources. Operating system virtualization is the use of software to allow a piece of hardware to run multiple operating system images at the same time. The technology got its start on mainframes decades ago, allowing administrators to avoid wasting expensive processing power.
